Mark's SECRET IDENTITY revealed on July 26th!Just wanted to remind everyone that I've got two gigs coming up at the end of this month. The first one is at The Stone on Sunday, July 25th with Warren Smith's WisQtet. We hit at 10pm and The Stone is on the corner of 2nd St. & Ave. C. The second gig I wanted to tell you about is my own group at the Local 269 on East Houston St the very next night. This is a new group or, rather, an expansion of the Quartet to include some old (and new) friends who are also incredible musicians. I call this group Secret Identity and this will be our first gig together. We'll be performing on Monday, July 26th at 9pm at The Local 269. Secret Identity is: MIchael Attias - alto sax, Brandon Ross - guitar, Chris Dingman - vibes, Keith Witty - bass, Harris Eisenstadt - drums and yours truly on french horn and, maybe, mellophone! So come on out and check us out. New band, new music and a brand new venue for us as well. See you there! New show announced in New York, NY at The Stone on July 25, 2010

It's the 5 minute edit of filmmaker Aaron Moseson's short "Zero Down O.A.C." I was fortunate enough to be asked to do the music for this film a few years ago and readily agreed. A few weeks into the project Aaron called me and asked if I'd ever done any sound design work. I told Aaron I hadn't, to which he replied, "Want to?" SO... This film is my first sound design project, which means every sound in this film (except the actor's voices) was placed there by me - all the car engines and door creaks and lawnmowers off in the distance. All of it.
It was great fun and I'd love to do more! Check it out! Zero Down OAC |
